The Hospice Windsor Essex Region Supporting Families

Since 2012, volunteers have been raising funds at Paradise Gaming in Windsor to support patients and families at The Hospice in Windsor and Essex. These funds are used to assist patients and families during their journey at The Hospice. The pandemic closed the gaming centre and impacted revenues; however, Paradise Gaming was able to switch to online or parking lot bingo, and The Hospice was fortunately able to receive funds from product sold at these events.

The funds raised over the years have supported and maintained the organization’s ability to provide free services to patients and families. The residential home provides families with the ability to enjoy their time with their loved ones by delivering 24/7 nursing and personal support worker care, spiritual care, social work, all meals, and comfort. Staff make the space feel like home as much as possible to allow patients and families the privacy and comfort they need. The Hospice is thankful for the funds generated at Paradise Gaming Centre that contribute to help make all this possible.
